When there is a holiday on a Monday, all business is moved to Tuesday.

**Maine Uniform Building and Energy Code"MUBEC"**
As of July 1, 2012, the MUBEC must be enforced in a municipality with a population of 4,000 residents or more that had NOT adopted any building code on or before August 1, 2008. 

The 2010 U.S. Population Census indicated that the Town of Sidney has 4,208 residents.  Therefore, we are required to adopt and follow MUBEC.

PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE

Residential

Review Fee = $25.00

New Construction = $0.20 per sq. ft.

Renovation = $0.14 per sq. ft.

Acccessory Structures = $0.10 per sq. ft.

Commercial

Review Fee = $150.00

New Construction = $0.50 per sq. ft.

Renovation = $0.24 per sq. ft.

Acessory Structures = $0.25 per sq. ft.

Internal Plumbing

State adopted fee schedule shall be used. State is currently at $40.00 minimum (covers first 4 plumbling fixtures), $10.00 per additional fixture.

Driveway Entrance Permit

New entrance from street (Not applicable to MDOT or Private Roads) $150.00
